Because it’s about more than just money.
We’re big on the soul food side of things here. And no, we don’t mean the delicious fried chicken kind of soul food (although we wouldn’t say no if someone offered). We mean the type of work that makes you feel good, from the inside out – the type that enriches your soul.
Since our inception, we’ve volunteered our time and skills with a number of charity partners and NFPs to bring their marketing strategy or event to life. Check out some of our the amazing charities we’ve supported below.
Cancer No Bueno is a Gen Y style charity event that raises money for the Leukaemia Foundation. AmpersandMC have been working with Cancer No Bueno since 2015 to bring this event to life with marketing, social media and graphic design support.
Marketeer-in-Chief, Alison Balch, has been heavily involved with the event since 2016, when she joined the board as the Director of Marketing and PR.
Telethon Community Cinemas is a volunteer run not-for-profit organisation that proudly donates all profits to children’s charities through Telethon. To date, they’ve raised over $8 million – which is a truly amazing effort!
As part of the volunteer marketing team, our Marketeer-in-Chief and Marketing Manager, Alison and Gabby, donate their time and expertise throughout the season to manage the email communications and Instagram social media account.
Befriend was founded on the principal the everyone deserves to feel included, appreciated and worthy of friendship.
AmpersandMC developed a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that looked at ways Befriend can increase their events, volunteers and active members, whilst building strategic partnerships with local government and corporates.
Walk into the Collective, home of AmpersandMC and you’re guaranteed to be hit with a delicious whiff of one of our many TPP candles we have burning at most times. Long time fans of the socially conscious business, we were super excited to help Shan bring her business to the next level with a gorgeous new website.
With $2 from every sale going towards a not for profit organisation, it’s a business that not only smells and tastes good, but also do a whole ‘lotta good as well!
Pride Sports Festival was created with the vision to increase participation, bring the community closer together and improve confidence within the LGBT community. In its inaugural year, the festival bought together hundreds of participants and spectators to compete in five sports across the day.
The AmpersandMC sponsorships team worked with the committee to connect with a number of local businesses and sponsors to help fund and facilitate the day.
Long time supporters of HeartKids, Platinum Entertainment had a goal of raising $25,000 throughout their We Will Rock You season in 2018.
We’re proud to say that the goal was not only met, but exceeded with a cheque for over $26,000 being presented to HeartKids on the opening night of the production.
The team at AmpersandMC worked with Platinum Entertainment in the lead up to the show on the marketing and publicity resulting in a sold out season!
A big part of our ethos here at AmpersandMC, is giving back where we can. That can be with time, money or knowledge.
Guerrilla Establishment is a local NFP that gives students and professionals the opportunity to ‘learn new skills, refresh old ones and to get creative.’ They run a number of courses and workshops throughout the year on a whole range of different subjects from marketing to design and beyond.
AmpersandMC marketeer-in-chief, Alison Balch, regularly presents workshops for the attendees and often mentors members throughout the year. She believes in giving others the opportunity to learn and grow and loves sharing her knowledge and passion with people.
From 2013 – 2016, AmpersandMC (formally known as Halo Communications), designed the website and marketing collateral as a sponsor for local fundraising event – The Pink Gig.
The Pink Gig was an annual fundraising event that during it’s time, raised over $150,00 for Breast Cancer Foundation of WA and National Breast Cancer Foundation.
At AmpersandMC we’ve implemented a Volunteer Program for our team to give back to the community in their own way. Each team member is given two days of volunteer leave per year to dedicate towards a charity or not-for-profit of their choice. Whether that’s through their design or marketing skill set, or a non-skilled position, is completely up to them!
