Chef Matt Stone teams up with National Homes

In August, we were pumped to be involved with the campaign development for National Homes latest promotion, featuring a designer kitchen upgrade worth over $6,500.

Working with the Brand Manager and internal marketing team, AmpersandMC was contracted to create an integrated campaign to engage new and existing clients, and were lucky enough to score the help of acclaimed local chef, Matt Stone, to assist with the promotion of the campaign.

Matt was engaged to present two cooking demonstrations in National’s display homes, The Palazzo and The Bellagio, where visitors could sample some dishes from his menu, focusing on sustainably grown, local produce. We also ran a competition for one lucky person to win a dinner party for six people in The Palazzo display home, with a four-course menu, local wines and beverages, and a limousine transfer from the team at Elaborate Limousines.

The winner was Michelle, a passionate foodie who brought five of her family members to enjoy the meal. Matt and Michelle talked well into the evening about his commitment to sustainable, local produce and how he has become one of Australia’s most acclaimed chefs at such a young age.

The campaign was promoted through press and radio, and drew an increase in visitors to the display home of 427% over both weekends.

We also engaged the help of Nova 93.7’s Casanova’s for a live cross during one of Matt’s appearances, with giveaways, games and further promotion of the campaign and competition.


Celebrity Chef Matt Stone, of Greenhouse fame in Perth and Sydney, has teamed up with National Homes for the brand’s latest promotion, a complimentary designer kitchen upgrade to the value of $6500.

The upgrade is comprised of a Technika premium appliance package, including a 600mm fully integrated stainless steel dishwasher, a 900mm stainless steel upright cooker, with 105 litre oven and five burner hotplate, a 900mm range hood and a fully integrated stainless steel microwave.

According to National Homes Brand Manager, Greg Miskiewicz, the kitchen is really the heart of the home and as such, it needs to be a place where the family and friends can get together comfortably, whether it’s for a meal at the bench or a coffee and a chat.

“National Homes’ kitchens are not only highly functional, but the specification level and the overall finishes are something every buyer can be proud to show off to friends and family,” Greg said.

National Homes is also running a competition whereby entrants can win a private dinner party for six people in The Palazzo, one of National Homes’ most popular display homes, personally catered by Matt himself.

“In conjunction with the major prize, Matt will also be visiting two of our display homes, creating culinary delights for guests to the displays, and demonstrating what has made him an award winning Chef.”

“While they’re there, guests will have the opportunity to enter the draw for the major prize and check out what makes the kitchens in these displays so popular.”

Guests can meet Matt and sample some of this award winning creations in The Bellagio display home in Piara Waters on Sunday June 26th, and The Palazzo display home in Landsdale on Sunday July 3rd from one to four pm.

Matt began his cooking career in Margaret River in 2002 and began an apprenticeship at Leeuwin Estate in 2003. After moving to Perth and working across all sections of the kitchen at Star Anise he was appointed Sous Chef at the age of 20. His love of food and cooking took him to Asia and Europe where he discovered new ingredients and styles of cooking. In 2009 Matt assisted in the development of Star Anise before joining Greenhouse as Head Chef of a young and dynamic team of enthusiasts. Matt’s creative influence and refreshing menu has already earned him and his team highly regarded awards, the 2011 Gourmet Traveller Best New Talent and the 2011 Good Food Guides Best Young Chef.
